The Miyagi

I'm sure many of you reading this knew in advance where the name for this technique comes from. It is in reference to the karate master, Mr. Miyagi, from the movie "The Karate Kid". In this movie, Mr. Miyagi attempts to catch a fly with chopsticks. As you can imagine, this is a very difficult task to master and takes a lot of practice and patience. The good news is that while you are practicing, you will also more than likely become an expert at manipulating and using chopsticks.

Step 1: Get some chopsticks and sit down at a table.

Step 2: Leave out a plate of delicious food to attract the flies. You may want to use food that has a moist texture as this attracts flies more than dry food.

Step 3: Now begin snapping away at the flies as they buzz around the food, trying to catch one between your chopsticks.
