Soap Sprayer

This is by far the easiest method for killing flies and all you need is an extra water spray bottle that is lying around the house. An alternative of this method is to use any aerosol can, such as hairspray, so long as it contains liquid that will subdue the fly while it is in mid flight.

Step 1: Get a water spray bottle that is not currently being used for something else.

Step 2: Rinse it out, fill the bottle with water and hand dish washing soap.

Step 3: Depending on your skill level, adjust the nozzle on the spray bottle to either spray or to fine jet. If you are a beginner, you may want to set the nozzle to "spray mode"; however, if you are a very skilled shot, you can adjust it to "jet mode".

Step 4: Seek out your fly victim and wait for it to land. Then fire away!

An alternative to the above is to use alcohol instead of soap.

What some people do is they use the "spray mode" when the fly is in mid-flight, but change it to "jet mode" when the fly has landed.
However, a true expert will be able to hit the fly with "jet mode" while the fly is in mid-flight. You may want to work up to this skill though as you gain more practice.
