The Clap Trap

This fly execution technique is going to involve getting your hands dirty. The simplicity of this method is so amazing that whoever invented should go down in the history of fly killing as a true genius.

Step 1: Wait for the fly to land on a surface. It doesn't matter if it is a vertical or horizontal surface.

Step 2: Slowly move in on the fly as to not scare it away. Move with the stealth of the fly assassin that you are.

Step 3: Move your hands out onto either side of the fly with your palms facing each other as though you are going to clap.

Step 4: Position your hands an inch above the surface where the fly is perched.

Step 5: Now CLAP!

Result: The fly will see the hands moving in and instinctively begins to fly away from its perch. What makes this technique work is that before a fly can choose where to go, it has to take off in the upward direction away from the surface first.

See the slow motion video (from lucidmovement.com) that demonstrates this:

So you see, by the time the fly has figured out it's escape route, it's too late. The fly will have nowhere to go. All possible exit directions are blocked by the trash compactor like flatness of your hands as they smash the fly into a pulp.

Step 6: Go to the sink and wash off the fly guts.
